- 2nd Round of the European Formula A Championships -
The karting track "Circuit des Fagnes" is located near to Charleroi, in Belgium.
34°...

As it often happens when races take place on this track, rain was forcasted, but instead the drivers and mechanics had to face 40 degrees under their tents...

In the time practice on Saturday morning James Miller ranked 16th as the best Swiss Hutless pilot, followed by Manuel Renaudie who finished 18th. Furthermore Varutti 30th, Limmonen 31st, Bressaglia 32nd, Oomkens 47th and Gazzurelli 49th.

During the 3 heats some drivers had difficuties in finding the ideal chassis set-up on this pavement, known tyre-killing. Others were involved in crashes or had technical breakdowns.
Conclusion: The only directly qualified Swiss Hutless driver was Manuel Renaudie, who made it smoothly through all of the heats.
All other drivers had the chance of the repechage to qualify for the final race.
The formula is simple: 31 drivers start and only the first 6 can qualify.
This race turned out to be a real SWISS HUTLESS thriller...
After only few meters James Miller and Alban Varutti forged ahead and were in pole position, where they remained. But the fight for the last 4 places was very hard. Tomi Limmonen came in 6th and with this position qualified for the final, right behind him Harmen Oomkens, who unfortunately did not make it to the final race, and this only by1 position...

Renaudie finished 13th and also Varutti caught up well, finishing 23rd.
The winner of race 2 was Sauro Cesetti, ahead of Jon Lancaster and Marco Ardigo.
