The World Championship in category Formula A was taking place last week-end in Braga, Portugal. 73 drivers from all over the World travelled to this important event of the year.
Due to the fact that the World Championship consists of one single race, the teams had to show a perfect performance, without any error and also with the necessary portion of luck.
Swiss Hutless driverRandy Bakker showed a good performance during the 4 qualifying heats. He achieved a third and two fifth places. In one heat he had to abandon because of a damaged engine, this pushed him back to 13th place in the intermediate classification.
Alban Varutti always finished the heats around tenth place.
James Miller and Manuel Renaudie were more unregularely, but although able to qualify for the finale.
During the prefinale SWISS HUTLESS could win some important positions.
Randy Bakker came in 13th, Alban Varutti won 11 places and finished on 15th position, James Miller passed the line on 23rd position, followed by Manuel Renaudie.
In the finale our drivers raised the pressure once again and came in 9th (Bakker), 10th (Varutti) and 11th (Renaudie).
James Miller had to give up the race with only 4 laps left to finish the race.
World Champion 2005 is Oliver Oakes in front of Jon Lancaster and Davide Fore.
