Last week-end the Wintercup took place in Lonato near Brescia.

During the whole week it was very cold however dry for the final in category Formula, all except for a slight drizzling.

Last Tuesday our racing team was highly motivated when they travelled to Italy. The first tests made the week before in South Garda were very satisfactory. Manuel Renaudie's performance and fast lap times were very convincing.

Unfortunately however during the race he ran out of luck.

In the time practise he came in 5 th in his group, in the 1 st heat he dropped out due to a defective spark plug, and in the second heat he finished 5 th .

In the semi final Renaudie came in 8 th , and in the final he had to give up the race due to a bent axle after being bumped into right after the start.

Tomi Limmonen was stopped during the time practice due to a defective conrod, and in the second heat he got involved in a crash and had to definitely give up. In the second chance heat he finished second and in the final 16 th .

Also Gianni Gazzurelli had to qualify for the final race in the second chance heat, which was no problem for him, finishing 4 th .

In the final he crossed the finishing line in 19 th position.

Our „pet of the family“, Toomas Heikkinen from Finland, gave us a lot of pleasure in the Junior category. Among 97 competitors he qualified for the semi final in his first international race. Then he missed to qualify for the final by only 4 positions.

Braak

The Junior pilot Jack te Braak of the Team Blanken Tuning, SWISS HUTLESS Racing, performed very well during the heats and unfortunately dropped out in the semi final as his engine failed to start up due to a technical defect.

All things concidered we can only hope for better for the next races to come!
